juvenalia=juvenilia + juvenalian satire.

But seriously, it started out as a typo. I think Jane Gaines, my grad advisor, referred to the films I was making as juvenilia. Or maybe Fred Jameson said it. Whoever said it, I decided to reclaim the word in the title of my DVD compilation, but I spelled it wrong when I made a bunch of sleeves for those DVDs. Later I figured I'd claim not just that these were "young" works, but I'd try to own my typo too by making hifalutin claims about its origin in Juvenalian satire (as opposed to Horatian or Menippean satire, a distinction which I honestly barely understand). At this point I guess I'm sticking with it because I've stuck with it this long. In any case, I know it's not a real word...
